- I'm Shanda Barnett, born in Mississippi and raised mostly in Haleyville, Alabama. I LOVE taking candid shots. Expressions, smiles, laughter, those special moments that capture just who you truly are. It is an honor to capture these moments through my camera. I love children and I thank God for giving me the courage to pursue my passion for photography. My photography goes way beyond khakis and white shirts. I am not out to create that perfect, traditional portrait of your child. Life isn't perfect. I want to capture who your child really is...missing front tooth, messy hair, or ice cream covered mouth... your child will only be this age once. Capture them. Not just their outside appearance, or a forced smile. Capture their spirit. I'll do that for you. It's what I do. Its what I LOVE. At this time I work mostly with natural light.
